The Library and Its Goals

Our basic purpose is to offer books not readily available in Lynchburg, emphasizing publications by Beacon and Skinner presses, university presses, and the many small independent publishers.  We also include books that have attracted national attention when they clearly reflect the concerns of the church community. There is a collection of playscripts for those interested in play reading.  We hope to include videos and music CDs as well.
The library will also serve as the church archives, including: sermons by past and current ministers; copies of the monthly NUUsletter and issues of UU World.  These collections will provide prospective church members with information on our church and on the larger Unitarian Universalist community.
