The Meditation Circle meets at 9 a.m. on Sundays in the Pete Seeger Room, which is downstairs in the Unitarian House. Our purpose is to introduce the basic principles of meditation and mindfulness to relieve stress and slow down our sometimes hectic pace of life. Also, for those who would like to cultivate a home practice, it is often very helpful to meet regularly with others who meditate. During our sessions we begin with silent meditation based on breath awareness, then follow with an open discussion on mindfulness matters--from the mundane to the mystical! All are welcome, beginners through advanced levels of any tradition; for those new to meditation we offer some basic instruction.
